Screwcap closure

LIVE-certified vineyard

119 cases produced

With clean, simple and stylish packaging, this Riesling is a real winner inside and out! And don’t let the screwcap fool you– aging this little beauty is an excellent idea. The closure was chosen after years of careful research and trials. Not only do you avoid the possibility of cork taint, but the wine retains a youthful quality that a cork just can’t manage to provide.

I encourage you to buy several bottles and perform your own experiment. Open a bottle to enjoy now, another one in a couple of years’ time, yet another in 6-7 years and drinking the final bottle in the next decade. I will bet you too will be sold on the screwcap closure.

Aromas:

At first whiff, mineral notes of wet stone, flint and gravel dust filled my nose. More swirling brought out fruity aromas of Bartlett pears, lemons and Asian pears layered with a new pair of kicks right out of the box. Some people aren’t fond of those rubber or petrol qualities in a Riesling but I love them!

Flavors:

Tart citrus flavors of lemon and lime zest made my mouth water after my first sip. Starfruit, honeysuckle, Bartlett pears and a hint of rubber followed closely behind that initial mouth-puckering acidity. With more time out of the chiller, this wine developed a softer mouthfeel and flavors of honey drizzled pears, ending in a long, long finish.

Food pairing suggestions:

Sashimi // Tandoori chicken // baked brie with rosemary and walnuts
