I

f you’re a fan of domestic sparkling wines and haven’t heard of Argyle, you must have been living under a rock! Seriously, they’ve made quite a name for themselves both in Oregon and beyond. And rightly so– they make a mean bottle of bubbles.

These Riesling grapes came from the Eola-Amity Hills sub AVA, a well-known and respected region of Oregon’s Willamette Valley.  On the nose, there were typical aromas of lemon and petrol. Taking a sip, the lively bubbles danced across our tongues as our mouths filled with lemons. Bright acidity with just a hint of petrol, this wine had a touch of residual sugar and a nice, long finish.

We suggest pairing this wine with shrimp and other seafood, salads and potato chips!
