Yamhill-Carlton sub AVA
Willamette Valley AVA
ade from Dijon Chardonnay clones, this wine was a bright sunshine yellow with a golden hue around the edge of the glass. Aromas of buttered popcorn, lemons, toffee and a subtle earthiness wafted to our noses as we gave it a good whiff. In our mouths, this Chardonnay had great texture and mouthfeel combined with a nice minerality. Unlike a traditional “buttery” chardonnay, we found that this wine had great acidity and finished on a high note. Produced with all estate-grown fruit, the Kramer family planted the first of their vines in 1984. Now the Kramer parents are scaling back their duties as their daughter Kim Kramer takes on more and more of the winemaking responsibilities with each vintage.
