he Keeler family are passionate about wine and the environment! Not only do they farm their 200-acre estate vineyard organically but also use biodynamic and Demeter practices as well. They have a compost pile that must be 200 feet long! Gabriele and Craig both believe in diversity in their land, where one will find two vegetable gardens, acres and acres of grapes, mature trees and naturally wild areas.
So it’s not surprising that the Keeler Estate Pinot noir tasted like the love they show their grapes. On the nose, this wine had red fruit aromas of cranberries, cherries and raspberries, coupled with a dash of black pepper. In the mouth, we found this Pinot to be so very lovely. Bright flavors of tart cranberries, rhubarb, cherries and under ripe raspberries swirled over our tongues. Nice acid levels blended well with the black pepper and forest floor notes we tasted on the long finish.
