2012 Angela Estate Pinot noir

Yamhill-Carlton sub AVA
Willamette Valley AVA

ith aromas of cherries and sandalwood, this Pinot noir from the Willamette Valley’s Yamhill-Carlton sub AVA had a lighter, more delicate mouthfeel, yet still had nice structure and tannins. It filled our mouths with tart cranberries and bing cherries coupled with notes of cedar and baking spices. Good acid levels make this Pinot a lovely match for turkey drenched in gravy, BBQed portobello mushrooms or baked brie topped with nuts and fig preserves.

SRP $48.

BBQ portobello mushrooms plus pinot sounds like a match made for my menu next week. At $48 it is a bit over my normal price range, but I’d totally do that for a special occasion.
