Willamette Valley AVA

t Innocent sources fruit from a number of vineyards around the Willamette Valley. The Freedom Hill Vineyard is located within the Willamette Valley AVA and is up at 450-500’ elevation with sedimentary soil.

The wine was a very light cherry red color with aromas of cranberries, cherries and a whiff of nuts. On the palate, there was an abundance of dusty cranberries, along with notes of sandalwood and a cocoa powder finish. This wine had a deep rooted minerality, bright acid and a lingering, yet drying finish.

(sorry but we didn’t get a photo of the 2012)

SRP $42.
