2013 Josefina Rosé

Paso Robles AVA

ade from Syrah grapes grown in the Paso Robles region of California, this rosé is the color of pink grapefruit. With aromas of strawberries, maraschino cherries and marzipan, this wine seemed to be one of our go-to bottles of rosé over the summer. We would call this rosé semi-dry since there was a hint of sweetness while in our mouths. Combined with that hint of sweet candy were flavors of all things red– tart cherries, rose petals and wild strawberries. On the finish was a tangy grapefruit tartness that paired beautifully with practically everything we ate with this wine.

Available at Trader Joes (although for who knows how much longer since summer is practically over), this wine is a steal. With an elegant label, this bottle of rosé is easy to find on the store shelves and is guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.

Drink this wine while enjoying some of the great cheeses and charcuterie available at Trader Joes, a homemade pizza with sun-kissed tomatoes and freshly picked basil from the garden or a turkey burger, hot off the grill.
