lovely Oregon Gamay noir, this wine was made at the SE Wine Collective, one of the urban wineries in Portland. An incubator of sorts started by Tom Monroe and Kate Norris, Division Winemaking Company was the first resident in the winery space. And they have gotten pretty familiar with the fruit after working with grapes from the Methven Family Vineyard in the Willamette Valley since 2010. That intimacy shows in the finished wine.
Filled with aromas of raspberries and violets, we tasted those tart raspberries mixed with rhubarb, wet slate and many other mineral notes. Nice acid levels and a delicate mouthfeel, this Gamay would pair beautifully with anything you would eat with a Pinot noir. We recommend grilled salmon, pork tenderloin or stuffed mushrooms.
