2015 Cameron Winery Giovanni Pinot blanc

2015 Cameron Winery Giovanni Pinot blanc

Do you like wines with texture and volume? If so, this wine is for you!

On the nose, we found yellow fruit notes of sweet Meyer lemons, tart regular lemons and asian pears. There was also some racy minerality in the form of fresh rain on concrete coupled with honeydew melons. And as this Pinot blanc touched our tongues, we tasted all of those same smells along with ginger, bright acidity and lemon curd. The texture was both creamy and tart at once, finishing with flavors of marzipan and mango that went on and on… each sip left us wanted another!

Pair with spicy Mexican tacos with roasted green chilies, turkey and vegetable soup or oysters.

SRP $20.

Ha! I grew up in California with both kinds of lemon trees in my backyard.

Yes it is! It seems like all of Oregon’s wineries do something special to celebrate Oregon Wine Month.

I’m equally impressed and amazed at your ability to distinguish between lemon and Meyer lemon!
