Using a unique, three-pronged approach to aging, the wine spent 6 months in neutral French oak, stainless steel barrel and clay amphora egg. This technique resulted in a Pinot blanc with both a creamy mouthfeel and bright, tart flavors. And Winerabble Michele thinks the strategy worked very well with this particular wine!
With tropical notes, including pineapple and mango, wet stone and lemon zest, the Winderlea Pinot blanc had abundant minerality and high acidity. The long, slightly briny finish makes this wine a perfect pairing with braised chicken with capers, potato salad loaded with bacon bits or oysters.
