2016 Sass Winery Gamay noir rosé

2016 Sass Winery Gamay noir rosé

Walnut Ridge Vineyard
Willamette Valley
Oregon

50 cases produced

This rosé was such a lovely pink and tasted of all good things red! Tart red cherries, strawberries, cherry candy and red currants swirled around in our mouths as we sipped this wine. We also tasted mandarin oranges and a hint of residual sugar, making this rosé an excellent porch sipper. Made with Gamay noir grapes, this might be one of the only Oregon rosés available using this unique varietal. The winery expects to sell out of this wine by the end of Memorial Day weekend so give them a call or plan a visit down to the winery very soon!

SRP $20.

It is a fun wine Suzannah! And an interesting change from the Pinot noir rosés we typically find locally.

Summers are for rose! Hasn’t really seemed like it weatherwise but I hear it’ll be warming up very soon!

So true! I think everyone in Portland is ready for some warm sunshine after the winter and spring we’ve suffered through!
