The Alter Ego Cider is made using a variety of apples from the Columbia Gorge. In any given batch, there is some combination of gala, golden, ginger gold, granny, fuji, red and honey crisp apples. This cider had flavors and aromas of granny smith apples, as well as a bruised apple component coupled with honeydew melons! We thought it was a very interesting range for a cider. Drink it with everything from a quinoa salad to a plate of ribs.
Currently, Alter Ego Ciders are available on tap throughout Portland. There’s a handy map on their website that shows who’s got it. Drink it at one of these locations or fill a growler and take it to the park, dinner table or a party (or all three!)
