Portland, Ore. (July 27, 2015) — In celebration of National Oyster Day on Aug. 5, The Heathman Restaurant & Bar, Portland’s iconic French restaurant, will kick off its inaugural Oyster Month. Beginning Aug. 1, executive chef Michael Stanton will feature 31 different oyster dishes for diners, offering a new preparation each day.
Oyster lovers can indulge each day with a unique oyster recipe or enjoy in Stanton’s specialty oyster packages, enticing guests to shuck, slurp and sip throughout the month.
“We wanted to create a menu highlighting the delicacy and versatility of the oyster, one of the most under-celebrated fruits of the sea,” said Stanton. “Oyster Month was designed to appeal to every customer and encourage diners to experience different oyster preparations.”
