2017 Montinore Estate Red Cap Pinot noir

Willamette Valley

Transparent cherry red

This wine is an overflowing basket of red fruit aromas– strawberries, raspberries and cherry tart! A second smell reveals earthy notes of cigar box, forest floor, white pepper with a splash of cherry cola.

Those red fruit aromas are prominent in the flavors of this Pinot too. Ripe strawberries, raspberries, red plums, cranberries and pomegranates all combine with earthy flavors of mushrooms and sandalwood. The wine is dry with nice acidity and a long finish, a real crowd pleaser!

Food pairing suggestions:

Cranberry teriyaki-glazed salmon, lentil tacos, turkey panzanella.
