Color:

Magenta red

Aromas:

Fruit smells of blackberries and black cherries combined with earthy, savory notes of bay leaf, cigar box and forest floor. Then more aromatic layers appeared as I swirled my glass– baking spices, gravel dust and cherry cola!

Flavors:

Red fruit flavors of tart cranberries and ripe raspberries hit my palate first, followed by black cherries and blackberries. Mouthwatering acidity paired nicely with gritty, yet supple tannins as the baking spice aromas turned into cinnamon graham crackers and ginger snaps. Notes of forest floor, cedar and that cherry cola from the nose, all played a dance on my tongue.

Food pairing suggestions:

Since this Pinot has high acidity, it pairs extremely well with many types of foods. Try drinking it with a cheese and charcuterie plate, salmon burgers, pork with raspberry coulis.
