With the coronavirus (COVID-19) in full swing, I’ve been trying to find ways to help all the wineries that have been forced to temporarily shut down. Then it dawned on me! I’ve already got a way– through my Why Wine? interview series!!
I’ve spent the last several years highlighting winery workers and owners and these posts are some of your favorites. If you are in the wine industry and would like to be included in my interview series, please reach out to me at michele@winerabble.com.
And if you are in the spirits, beer, saké or food industry, I’d love to chat with you too!
Keep washing your hands, practicing social distancing and supporting your local businesses as best you can during these crazy days.
Why wine? Because it is a relationship. What I have learned is after 23 years in the industry is: I miss my customers as they were my wine fix in real tangible ways. I have seen their babies grow up, followed their many dogs utilize my pond and enjoyed a glass with them after hours. Many have placed orders on line and offered kind words and I know we will get through this knowing that what was in the glass mattered, but the relationships matter most of all. Hope to see them soon but in the meantime memories of why wine live matters on!
Mary- what sweet words! Your true kindness shows in all you do so please keep sharing your wines with the world and your pond with those lucky dogs :) Take care, Michele
