Discover the wines of Italy without ever leaving the state
Cana’s Feast Winery is hosting the 4th Annual Italy in the Valley Celebration where wine lovers across the Willamette Valley and Portland can taste Italian wine varietals produced by eleven Pacific Northwest wineries. This year’s event takes place on Sunday, August 26th from 1-5pm at the winery in Carlton.
With unique varietals including Primitivo, Dolcetto, Sangiovese and Barbera, all popular in Italy, many of the winemakers will be pouring and answering questions about their wines. This event offers everyone the opportunity to sip and savor these labors of love while enjoying Italian panini sandwiches and salads paired with olive oils & vinegars imported from the Old World by Fanucchi Oils. Bocce ball, Italian music played on the accordion by Justin Franzino and wine-infused sorbettos & gelatos made by Gelato Maestro will add to the Italian ambiance.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online in advance or by calling Cana’s Feast Winery 503.852.0002. If it hasn’t yet sold out, tickets can also be purchased at the door the day of the event.
Enjoy the many flavors of Italy while basking in the sunshine. Plan to expand your wine knowledge and take home a souvenir (or many) in the form of liquid amore. Celebrate the final days of summer and go on a staycation to Italy in the Valley, where you will find yourself transported to the Old World without ever leaving the quaint town of Carlton.
