Portland, with more craft brewers than you can shake a stick at, is the epicenter of the craft beer revolution. So it comes as no surprise that the city is playing host to a much-anticipated night of beer revelry, education and inspiration. Craft, a new beer documentary by Craig Noble, begins a West Coast tour with two showings in Portland on Thursday night. Incorporating a unique twist to a traditional movie showing, The Commons Brewery, along with Noble’s own Farmhouse Ale, both featured in the film, will be available for purchase.

Join fellow beer lovers to watch the new film that chronicles Noble’s journey from ordinary drinker to educated Cicerone (a beer sommelier) as he travels across the country in search of all things beer. His metamorphosis is well documented for enthusiasts, including Noble’s fascination of beer, which culminated with the development of his Farmhouse Ale recipe.

When asked how the concept of the documentary came to be, Noble explained, “[It was] born out of a great appreciation of craft beer and my observation of the massive explosion of the industry in the last 10 years. I decided to undertake an in-depth and personal journey into the heart of craft beer. I committed to the project in San Diego after a 2012 brewery tour and from there on in I have been living and breathing craft beer.”
