Ferment Brewing Co. Whack & Peel Stout

This Imperial stout beer is a collaboration brew between Ferment Brewing Co. and Zupans Markets. Part of the grocery store’s Farm to Market series, it was barrel-aged in rum barrels and bottle conditioned after being finished with a blend of orange peels from Spain, Haiti & Paraguay.

It looked like black-strap molasses in my glass– very dark and thick with a nice, tall head. This is a special stout with elegant packaging that made me feel like I was splurging! Drink it in front of a fire on a cold night.
