On August 21, 2017, Oregonians– and many visitors to our state– were smack dab in the path of a total solar eclipse. In the days leading up to the event, the Winerabbers counted car license plates from just about every state in the union! That morning, as the moon passed in front of the sun, the sky darkened and the birds suddenly stopped chirping. For about 2 minutes, the temperature decreased as day turned to dusk and the world went still. It was surreal!
Brooks decided to commemorate the big event with a very special bottle, using Pinot noir grapes that also experienced the solar eclipse. I really love how they created an eclipse on the label with their logo. They made just 100 cases of this wine so it you want to savor a bottle while recalling your own eclipse experience, better order some today!
