With a focus on estate-grown Pinot noir and Chardonnay, Marshall Davis was started in 2011 by three brothers; Ryan and Matt Marshall, and Sean Davis. To make their bigger red wine wines– Syrah and Cabernet sauvignon– they buy fruit from Walla Walla Valley vineyards. In order to retain the distinct terroir of each wine, production is kept small with minimal intervention. (Follow this link to read our Wine 101: Wine terms explained, Terroir.) Winemaker Sean aged all this Chardonnay in French oak barrels, of which 20% was new.

The finished wine is deliciously tart with tropical and citrus notes and abundant acidity.
