Pronounced Ō-Bane, Aubaine Wines focus exclusively on Pinot noir and Chardonnay. Though planted several years ago, the Anahata Vineyard grapevines needed to first establish roots before bearing much fruit. This is Aubaine’s inaugural vintage, made by winemaker Isabel Muenier.
I ❤️ Willamette Valley Pinot noir from this vintage! There’s something quite magical about how expressive and delicate the wines are, especially after some mild frost following bud break, a wet summer and even wetter harvest. Grapegrowers had to use every trick in the book to prevent mold and mildew. Click here to read more about the 2019 growing season.
Clearly, all that extra time and effort in the vineyard paid off. This particular Pinot noir had a wonderful balance of acid, earth and fruit. Be sure to get some before it sells out!
