The Stoneridge vineyard plantings began when Paul Hart, founder of Rex Hill, ordered too many grapevine plants without enough land on which to plant them. A chance introduction to Leigh Campbell at a party led to a decades-long partnership between the two men. Leigh agreed to plant a vineyard with Paul’s young vines. Once the plants matured and began producing fruit, Leigh supplied Paul with much-needed wine grapes from his Stoneridge Vineyard. When Leigh’s daughter Tracy and her husband Andy took over the vineyard operation, they hired a winemaker and Campbell Lane Winery was born.
Tucked up on Pete’s Mountain, coincidentally on Campbell Lane, the property offers stunning views and many outdoor tasting spaces. Just minutes from Portland, I encourage you to plan a visit to enjoy their view, wines and hospitality!
