Rascal Wines to host dual fundraising event for animal welfare ‘Adopted Pets’ birthday party + fundraiser
July 11, 2022 (Dundee, OR) – Rascal Wines, produced by The Great Oregon Wine Company (GOWC) in Dundee, Oregon, will host a fundraising event for two animal welfare organizations; The Newberg Animal Shelter and Fetch Fido a Flight on July 16, 2022 from 11am – 4pm.
The event will include live music by the HighWater Johnny Band, meals by Crepe World (www.crepeworldmac.com), special birthday treats for dogs, lawn games for children, Rascal wine pours for adults, and an adoptable pets preview by the Newberg Animal Shelter.
The suggested donation for entry is $10 – Funds raised will be equally distributed to these two organizations:
Newberg Animal Shelter
Newberg Animal Shelter is in the heart of Wine Country in Newberg, OR. NAS provides a compassionate environment for homeless pets until they find their forever homes. As a no-kill shelter with a big heart for animals, they accept strays and surrendered animals, providing needed medical care and a second chance at a new home. When kennel space is available, to save more lives, services such as ‘Fetch Fido a Flight’, transports rescued dogs and cats from the high-risk shelters that are overcrowded. Fetch Fido A Flight
Fetch Fido A Flight is an ALL VOLUNTEER and 100% donation-based charity working to fly large numbers of ‘at risk’ shelter pets from high intake shelters who would otherwise be euthanized via heart stick, gas chamber, gunshot, or other forms of euthanasia (all legal in Oklahoma and practiced EVERY day). Those lucky enough to receive a spot on our flight go to our partner shelters throughout the United States. Founded in 2016, Fetch Fido A Flight has saved thousands of animals from euthanasia, only through the generous donations of people like YOU!
