Color:

Black plum purple

Bouquet:

This wine was filled with aromas of ripe plums, along with cocoa nibs and vanilla bean.

Palate:

After harvesting the grapes from Block 5 of the Destiny Ridge Vineyard, they were aged in French oak (both new and used) for 22 months. The final wine elegantly combined fruit, earth, and spice flavors. Cherry cola, black plums, black cherries, and cherry jam melded into savory notes of thyme, sandalwood, cocoa nibs, and vanilla beans. With nice acidity and tannins, this Cab had a pleasant grittiness with a lingering, spicy finish.

Food pairing suggestions:

Sausage tortellini with garlic tomato sauce, grilled sirloin steak, portobello mushroom sandwiches.
